Major steps taken in preparation
Park Startbaan board recently ended its deliberations on which track section would be most suitable for the air dome. After considering all the options, it was decided to place the air dome on track section 3-4. The accompanying photo shows that this not only offers technical advantages but also provides an attractive view of the park.
In addition, we are delighted to announce that the Waarborgfonds Sport (Sports Guarantee Fund) has approved the guarantee for the financing. This is an important decision, as it fulfills a condition for enabling the financing of the air dome. The Guarantee Fund, which conducted an extensive investigation into the financial situation of both the LTC Startbaan association and the Park Startbaan foundation, is guaranteeing 50% of the loan. We are confident that the Municipality of Amstelveen will soon follow suit with the second 50% guarantee.
A condition for the guarantee by the Guarantee Fund and the Municipality of Amstelveen is that the members of the LTC Startbaan association approve the financial plan. To obtain this approval, an Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on March 25, 2026, starting at 8:00 p.m. Members of LTC Startbaan will receive separate notification of this.
